Sopoong @ Starling Mall, Damansara Uptown

Sopoong Korean Restaurant was established in 2011 in Malaysia.

"Sopoong" means "picnic"in Korean.

Accoarding to korean culture,

usually when they go on picnic,

they will get excited because they would get refreshment with delicious foods.

Apart from the food,

they get to also share memorable time with their friends and family.

With this thought in mind, they wish to bring such moments to all the customers as well.

Their menu have all types of food from Korean appetizer, snacks, mains, & drinks.

Lovely place for all meat eaters or vegetarian.

They serve only beef, chicken and seafood.

if you're vegetarian, you're always welcome to visit as you can inform

 "no onion and garlic" beforehand.

the spicyness of all the food is not strong as to suit the local taste buds & kids.

if you want some hotness, can always inform to add stronger spice taste in the dish.

They are located at the middle of the mall, can be easily spotted.

They have really good layout for their restaurant.

You wouldn't feel too cramped up even it's full of people.

They serve simple decoration to give relaxing environment.

Glass noodles stir fried with assorted mushrooms, vegetabes and egg garnishes.

This dish is like one of our local dish "xing chao mai fun".

The differences is that they have lesser fried taste as compared to the local due to lesser oil used and

also smaller fire used means its healthier!

Their signature Dolsot Bibimbap

Dolsot means hotpot. This is served with a sizzling hot stone pot.

The crisped rice at the bottom, mixed with the toppings and gochujang ( red pepper) paste,

remains piping hot until the end of the meal.

Really thoughtful of them, they actually separated the red pepper paste into another bottle,

as they know not many locals are used to it.

Therefore, if you''re feel comfortable with it, you can always add in to try.

You can order either vegetarian or with chicken.

But I would say this dish is really balanced and healthy

as they gave many types of different vegetables.

This is kimchi pancake.

Slices of well  = fermented kimchi mixed into a flour batter and pan fried.

This is like our local malay snacks called "sayur".

but this kim chi pancake can really be addictive,

each bite give really strong taste and crispy!

It took less than 5-10mins to finish this. hahaha.

Kimchi Udon

They don't serve kimchi soup but also kimchi udon!

Fusion of Korean and Japanese style.

They have seafood crab sticks and tofu with some tomatoes.

If you're soup lover, you can try go for it.

It's really nice to have it when you're having flu, and ask them to add more spice.

You will feel those hot air & sweat raging to come out from your sweat pores.

Super awesome side dishes.

it's all FREE refill with no limits.

Really appreciate it as some shops to save cost, they only have limited amount being served.

Every dish will include this side dish unless you only order beverages desserts and some snacks.

This bring back memories of younger times.

Having a bad day?

Take one and enjoy!

In overall,

if you're looking for some spice or some healthy dishes, can always come here.

All natural ingredient used, lesser oil, no MSG.
