Sango @ Crystal Crown Hotel

Got invited recently to try out on
Sango Japanese Restaurant 's

There's always been a saying within the area from locals that,
if you want some nice Yakitori (a Japanese type of skewered chicken),
this is a place you should go for!

The very japanese-ish look entrance.
The food its pork friendly but it's not halal certified due to the alcholic served in the restaurant.

Lets start another monster eating session!!!

Chicken Teriyaki Don.
The chicken is really crispy and they only fried it after ordered.

Leaving the sweet teriyaki sauce all over the dish just had to seal the deal.

Salmon Teriyaki Ju.
Same teriyaki sauce used, but different meat used. This time, they infused this dish with slavering SALMON. My favourite of all meat!

Chicken Katsu Curry Don.
No doubt, the curry is on point.
Some of the Japanese restaurant i tried before serves watery curry or even serving local flavored curry. In Sango, using legit Japanese curry topping along with crispy chicken cutlet.

Chicken Katsu Tamago Don.
If you prefer having mixture of egg and chicken today,
I would recommend this dish. This is not as oily as chicken katsu don as well.
Having fried egg blending with onions, and seaweed on time.
I must say, the aroma killed me first before I actually had it.

Unagi Tamago Don.
This is one of a kind dish in the restaurant, as has quality unagi (Eel) served.
I know for the fact, there is a lot of Eel lovers out there.
The eels served may be little, but trust me, having this whole dish together, it's well balanced.
You won't feel overfed and you would still have that crave to try another time!

Yasai Kaki Age Don.
Serving mixed vegetables along with caramelized rice.
The intention of this dish is to serve light toppings while preferring rice over noodles.
And its suitable for vegetarian eater
where they could enjoy from the dish and the Japanese feeling offered.

Gyu Don.
Man, seriously the beef is very tender.
On top of that,
they did a good job bringing satisfying flavor using natural ingredients of other vegetables.
They gave real humble portion of the beef as well,
customers would definitely feel worthy having it.

Ten Don.
Just like Yasai Kaki Age don, but this dish served fried seafoods as well.
Was surprised with the portion of seafood served.

Enough of rice,
I believe sometimes we would just want some noodles to go with.

Tempura Soba.
For those who prefer something simple and light, this could be the option.
It's a mixed tempura with plain soba.
Don't worry, the soup with soba it's not as salty as it may seem.

Cha Soba (Cold Soba Noodles).
this Zaru Soba (Cold Soba Noodles) can be quite a good dish to pair along since
the super - recently - hot temperature in Malaysia.
Don't misunderstood with the preparation of this dish,
it takes some time to adjust to its unusually cold noodles.
And once you're used to it, it's really a fun dish to try out again!

Fuji Bento.
A real complete set of Japanese usual eats.
From the fresh sashimi, tempura, skewers, & salads with ebiko.
Portions are huge,
I recommend if you're a small eater then share with another friend of yours
and order some side dishes along.

Speak of the devil,

they offer varieties of dishes in the range of

Handmade sushi rolls.

My overall experience here was great.
They succeeded in providing real great authentic Japanese feel in the restaurant,
food qualities served were on point,
and they were really proactive on their service.
